About

A profile shot of Lance Eaton with his chin on his hand.

I’m Lance Eaton, a writer, educator, faculty developer, instructional designer, and educational consultant in Providence, Rhode Island.  This website serves as my professional online presence and highlights my past, current, and future writings, activities, and projects. I have earned degrees in History (BA), Criminal Justice (AS), American Studies (MA), Public Administration (MPA), and Instructional Design (MEd).  I’m currently working on my PhD in Higher Education at the University of Massachusetts, Boston which focuses on academic piracy and the limitations of higher education’s knowledge-production mission.  My writing has been published in local newspapers, trade publications, academic journals, books, and encyclopedias.  I have been an active producer of content on the internet for over 15 years including my blog (now a second blog on AI in Education), a YouTube channel (and now a second YouTube channel) and various other contributions as far back as Geocities (for those that remember that site!).  I have substantial experience working with youth, nonprofit organizations, higher education, and online organizations.
